A nuanced
approach
to instruction

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Philippe Gagnon offers an "energizing" and serene approach to learning the internal arts, informed by over 45 years of experience and exchanges with hundreds of enthusiasts. He proposes a complete exercise program, adapted to the various physical conditions and carefully adjusted according to the progress of the participants, so that it can benefit as many people as possible. &nbsp;&nbsp;

The nuances of the
art or the subtlety
of neigong&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Master Moy's internal arts engage and benefit the whole body while quieting the mind. Whether it is Taichi, Liuhebafa or Xingyi, they share a common foundation: “inner work” or neigong—a&nbsp; gymnastic that focuses on posture and flexibility, but relies above all on tranquility and the discovery of a new coordination of subtle movement impulses. As students progress through a series of exercises and meditation postures, they refine their sense of movement and cultivate mindfulness.

Intense and effective, the art is revealed in nuances and gentleness.

Nuances of practice

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; We aim to offer quality training that is both lively and true to the teachings received directly from Master Moy Lin-shin.

“Teaching comes from the heart”, said Master Moy. Each student is treated with care and individual attention. We favour dynamic classes and encourage the sharing of experience among participants.&nbsp; According to their level, we explain the more subtle aspects of the art and try to give participants the means to put them into practice.&nbsp; We avoid dogmatic drifts and make common enthusiasm the basis of our exchanges and our projects.

Introduction to
Taichi

EN FR

Ready to become more agile and fit?

Our taichi set is dynamic and full of stretches, introduced gently. It is Master Moy Lin-shin authentic and integral form.

The introductory classes cover the three sections of the taichi sequence, as well as various exercises offered to help with basic training. The art is presented in three levels which are approached according to the progress of the participants.
We value a good understanding of the art and the quality of movements. If you already have experience in other similar disciplines, these courses will provide you with the keys to understanding the specific approach to this training. &nbsp;

Beginners IHere, we introduce the first 16 movements of the sequence, some fundamental exercises and the basic principles of training. Without rush, you will become familiar with the steps, the alignments and the coordination of the movements. The intensity of the exercise increases gradually, but remains moderate.

Beginners IIAt this level we move into the second part of the routine and add a few more fundamental exercises, while gently introducing the concepts of stretching, rotation and spiral movement.

Beginners IIIAfter the second part, we turn to the last part of the sequence. Here the intensity goes up a notch both in the form and the exercises. We aim to further mobilise the spine and soften the whole body, in preparation for the deep transformation of movement for which this art is so rightly appreciated.

Taichi-intermediate

These courses give you the tools to continue training and integrate Taichi into your daily life. Here, the choreography and exercises are adapted to your abilities and evolve with you.

Gradually, the student masters not only the continuity of the choreography, but also the fluid inner momentum that creates the moves. The aim is to help you discover and train what tradition calls the "internal" movement.

Each student progresses at his or her own pace, with the support of the group, which stimulates exchanges and makes it possible to observe how to practice and transform the movements.

Training modulesContinuity Foundations The “continuity” module provides a review of the sequence, then introduces new ways of understanding the movements and executing them with fluidity. The “foundations” module focuses on the fundamental exercises. This will allow you to become aware of the sequence of deep movements and spirals that drive the choreography.

Regular training
These classes approach Taichi as a regular practice that evolves with you and integrates the classical theoretical framework with Master Moy's practical interpretations. &nbsp;
They also introduce you to the meditative practice of Taichi and bridge the gap between different forms of meditation (standing, sitting, lying down). To sharpen your senses, they also propose the push-hands exercise which is practised with the help of a partner.

Taichi Sabre
and Taichi Sword

These two sequences of graceful, continuous movement, which complement bare-handed Taichi, are very popular with those wishing to diversify and deepen their practice.

	<img width="851" height="1192" width_o="851" height_o="1192" data-src="https://freight.cargo.site/t/original/i/9a9e13bc2666cd7e20ee4c026eea137fe1c5f6182ccd13f5d445508c5ee37b7b/maitre-Sun-Taiwan-1980s.jpg" data-mid="233151998" border="0" data-scale="91" data-no-zoom src="https://freight.cargo.site/w/851/i/9a9e13bc2666cd7e20ee4c026eea137fe1c5f6182ccd13f5d445508c5ee37b7b/maitre-Sun-Taiwan-1980s.jpg" />Taichi with a sword is a fascinating form, requiring the agility of the blade, the lightness of the step and the coordination of gestures towards a single point.

Learning to wield the sword gracefully takes concentration and perseverance, but also gives you fine control over your movements, allowing them to flow with ease and freedom.

The sequence was documented as early as 1928 by Chen Weiming, a pupil of Yang Chengfu who was among the first to publish works on taichi.

Taichi with a sabre has a completely different character, and is no less popular. Unlike sword movements, which were developed independently, sabre movements are often based on bare-handed taichi. The sequence is also shorter and easier to learn.

This sequence is inspired by the simple form of the Yang tradition, known as the Thirteen [movements/techniques] of Taichi Sabre.
